(last of the Utah series)
There was no better way to wrap up these posts from our trip to Utah than at the Valley of the Gods. This aptly named valley is an area of fantastically weathered sandstone formations in the southeast corner of Utah, just across the Arizona border from the similar but more famous Monument Valley. Our visit was brief, as we arrived late in the day and left shortly after nightfall. But our time here might have been the most exhilarating of the trip. Sometimes, all you really need in life is to find yourself in a car with two good friends, music on the radio, perhaps a bottle of Fernet Branca, and the sunset setting the world around you on fire.

We have tentative plans to return here next year, perhaps with some camping gear, in order to really get the full experience. I will not complain if that comes to pass. But for now, that’s a wrap on this great trip to Utah.
Thanks for stopping by.
