Here’s a few more pictures of Tbilisi which I didn’t quite have ready when I began posting this series. To begin with, there’s the Friendship Bridge. In an ancient city like this, a big splash of post-modernism was bound to be polarizing. Some complain that it looks too much like a woman’s sanitary pad. Though I think that’s not inaccurate, I liked it. It was a bright focal point on the river in what is the touristy part of town, anyway.

Then there’s the former Ministry of Transportation building, a striking example of Soviet-era architecture.

But my favorites were the typically Georgian buildings. Old, often in disrepair, and sometimes, if you were lucky, abandoned and accessible.

Finally done with Georgia, and only three months after returning home. Now, what’s next?
