Any genre will have its cliches, and urbex photography is no exception. The trope of the Lonely Chair appears as a focal point in many shots of abandonment and ruin. Still, ideas don’t become cliche unless they have an appeal, and I put it to you that a Lonely Chair standing as eternal witness to a shuttered theater’s decay is damn cool.
Love it! The chair actually helps give perspective of the scale of this shot. And that’s quite the shot, sir. While not feasible, I think that would look amazing blown up across an entire wall in my house.
Of course, the lonely chair is not nearly as well-known around these parts as the lonely piano. Amirite IP? 😉
