A year and a half ago, on a previous visit to Philadelphia, we tried and failed to get into this church. Our consolation prize would be the rectory, in which fire extinguisher hanky-panky would leave one of our party down and out for the night, a victim of suggestive pantomime gone terribly wrong. (She was fine the next day).
This time around, a spot was open and we made it inside the actual church. Though stripped of Its pews, the bright January sunlight poured in through windows and created some beautiful scenes. In particular, one of the stairwells leading to the balcony was simply aglow. It wound up being a quick shoot, but yielded several shots I’m pretty happy with.
